Saif Ali Khan latest to apologise over nepotism comments

The nepotism row that erupted again during the IIFA awards over the weekend, was followed with apologies from Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar. However, Saif Ali Khan who was also on stage during the comments, is the latest to retract his words.

He was cited in Mid-Day saying, “It was just a joke but, now I feel, had we given it more thought, we could’ve really finished this ongoing public discourse on nepotism more decisively.”

He added, “What we said was meant to be a joke, which I think has been misplaced and misunderstood. I think it went wrong. The idea of that joke was entirely mine, so I take onus of what we said.”
