Over the years, Bollywood actors have earned themselves the tag of becoming quite possessive fathers to their daughters. With actors such as Rishi Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt allegedly not approving of their respective daughters entering the film industry, it comes as a pleasant surprise to hear Saif Ali Khan claim that he is not “ridiculously” possessive when it comes to his daughter Sara.

In an interview withFilmfare, Ali Khan said, “I am a protective father but not ridiculously so. Some actors say they are possessive about their daughters. I am not crazily possessive about Sara… I like her boyfriend… She’ll have a great university degree by next year… She’s interested in acting. I believe it’s a great profession. It’s a great world.”

While he claims not to be overly possessive and fully supports his daughterif she steps into B-town, the actor did go on toadmit that he would “wish more security for Sara” as compared to the unpredictability of a career in Bollywood.

It can be noted that there have recently been rumours of Sara making her debut in a film produced by Karan Johar, in which she may be paired opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother, Ishaan Khattar.
