Saif Ali Khan in modern-day ‘Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha’?

It’s evident that Saif Ali Khan is being selective in the roles he chooses of late. He is currently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ and is also confirmed to star in the Bollywood remake of ‘Chef’ (2014). Now news has it that Anees Bazmee has also signed the actor for his forthcoming romantic comedy which will be based on Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer ‘Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha’ (1998), which he himself directed.

“Saif Ali Khan and Anees Bazmee are good friends and always wanted to work together since a long time. Anees and Saif recently met with regard to this forthcoming film that might go on floor this year. This yet untitled film is more on the lines of Anees Bazmee�۪s Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha. Saif fits the bill for this rom-com that Anees has been planning next. The duo has been in talks for the same since past few weeks,” said a source to Absolute India.

Bazmee himself also stated, “We are very good friends and would like to work together for a film. We have good mutual respect and understanding so we will definitely work together in coming time.”

No doubt many will be happy to see Khan returning to the rom-com genre which he has enjoyed some of his most successful films in.
