Despite doing some funny roles in some of the iconic Bollywood films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001), ‘Hum Tum’ (2004) and ‘Salaam Namaste’ (2005), Saif Ali Khan always wanted to do a full-fledged comedy genre film and this was the reason why he immediately gave his consent to Sajid Khan’s ‘Humshakals’.

“I wanted to do a comedy. I was watching ‘Housefull’ and was laughing a lot. I like Sajid’s sense of humor. This is the funniest film I have ever done,” Khan told NDTV.

Khan’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan visited ‘Humshakals’ sets recently when the actors were shooting. “Kareena loved me as a girl. She is very sporty and appreciated my look. Had I been in her place, I would have filed for a divorce!” Khan said.

Khan’s female character will be seen being romantically involved with Riteish Deshmukh. Besides Khan and Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor will also be seen in the flick.

It also stars Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah. The movie is set to release on 20th June.
