Saif Ali Khan charged for assaulting businessman

Bollywood actor has been charged for assaulting a South African businessman in 2012 in Mumbai.

According to CNN IBN, the actor has been charged under Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC for assaulting Iqbal Sharma in 2012.

The incident took place at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai where Khan was present with Kareena Kapoor and actresses Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora at the time. Sharma told police Khan he was attacked by Khan and his friends, during which, he was punched by the actor.

The hearing begins in court on 30th April.
