Sahara One is set to launch its big ticket singing talent show ‘Sur-kshetra’ in February, as part of plans to renovate the channel’s schedule.

The show will provide a platform to singing talents from India and Pakistan. ‘Sur-kshetra’ is produced and directed by Gajendra Singh of Sai Baba Telefilms, the pioneer of hit reality shows like ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’, ‘Voice Of India’, ‘Music Ka Maha Muqabala’ and ‘Chote Ustaad’.

Noted singer music director turned actor, Himesh Reshammiya, will captain the Indian team of singers, while his counterpart singer turned actor from Pakistan, Atif Aslam will lead the team from across the border. Legendry singer Asha Bhosle is also expected to be a part of the judging panel.

The show’s jury consists of phenomenal composers, music directors and singers like, the famous Ismail Darbar, Suresh Wadkar, Runa Laila, Ghulam Ali and Abida Parveen.

‘Sur-kshetra’ launches on Friday 10th February on Sahara One UK. It will air Friday and Saturday nights.
