Safeer TV confirms June launch on Sky

A new high quality Pakistani entertainment/Islamic channel is set to launch on Sky Digital in June, BizAsia can confirm.

Safeer TV, which launches on Monday 16th June, will broadcast a range of shows from comedies to hard hitting investigative documentaries, children’s cartoons, films, drama, news, social programmes and religious shows. The channel will also have live feeds from all Islamic holy cities including Karbala, Najaf, Kadhmain and Mashad.

Talking to BizAsia, the channel said, “Safeer TV is a permanent channel aims to delivers a true and contemporary reflection of Islam. Safeer TV is different to other faith based channels because we cater for every age group by producing and broadcasting high quality programmes in the English language. At Safeer we have a vision to unite Muslims alongside other religious believers from around the world and create a central hub providing knowledge alongside entertainment.”

Safeer TV already broadcasts in North America, Africa and the Middle East.
