‘Sadak 2’ to release directly on Hotstar?

Mahesh Bhatt’s much awaited ‘Sadak’ (1991) sequel will reportedly be joining a slew of other recent films and releasing directly on a digital platform.

The film starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, is rumoured to have signed a lucrative deal with streaming giant, Hotstar, for a direct digital release.

If speculation is to be believed, then it seems producer Mukesh Bhatt has informed friends that it did not make sense to wait indefinitely for a theatrical release and thus Hotstar, which is the producing partner of the film, may premiere it on the platform instead.
