Sabras Radio has signed an exclusive partnership with Epic Music Events to bring Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh to Leicester – in the latest coup for the Midland’s biggest Asian radio station.

As part of the deal, Sabras Radio will be the exclusive media partner for the Leicester show of Dosanjh’s four-date tour in the UK next month. The huge event takes place at The Athena in Leicester on Friday 16th May. Sabras Radio presenters Jagdeep Rainu and Raj Baddhan will host the event.

Over the next month, Sabras Radio will have exclusive access to the popular singer and actor who dominated the winner’s list at both the PTC Punjabi Film Awards and PTC Punjabi Music Awards earlier this year. As well as a marketing campaign on-air, Sabras Radio will broadcast a couple of interviews with Dosanjh on the telephone and live in the studio exclusively in the Midlands area.

Sabras Radio will also give away exclusive prizes such as concert tickets including VIP Meet and Greet opportunities with the Punjabi sensation. A special week dedicated to Diljit Dosanjh music will kick off on Monday 12th May to promote the star’s entry in Leicester.

Raj Baddhan, Operations Manager, said, “It’s with great pleasure to announce our first tie-up with Epic Music Events to bring Diljit Dosanjh to Leicester for the first time. As we have done previously, we’re doing this to ensure our listeners feel closer to their favourite stars and to give Punjabi music the platform it needs to showcase its excellence.”

Only a few days ago, Sabras Radio celebrated a huge Vaisakhi celebration live at its studios, which was webcast live online via its website. It has recently tied up with Rock On Music for a series of Bollywood concerts including the sold-out Pankaj Udhas show earlier this month and Shreya Ghoshal show in Leicester next month. It will also exclusively promote the Arijit Singh and Salim Sulaiman events in Leicester in August.
