Sabras Radio’s Amber wins Hindi Literary Award

Sabras Radio’s flagship Hindi presenter Amber Anu has become the first UK female presenter to win the Hindi Samman UK, 2016 in Electronic media Broadcasting-Journalism (contribution in Hindi) for over 23 years.

Amber who has been with Sabras Ra dio for nearly 17 years, received the special gong from West Bengal Governor, Shri Keshri Nath Tripathi Ji on Thursday. The awards were handed out in a private event during the Hindi Samman Samaroh, UK. In the Gandhi hall of Indian High Commission, attended by over 200 people.

Commenting on receiving the prestigious award Amber told BizasiaLive.com, “Im honoured to be handed this prestigious award for my contribution to my work & my Hindi speaking and writing skills. My love for my Country and our National language can’t be described in words. I’m Thankful to Don saa’b (station director) for making me a part of Sabras and taking me on board when I needed it the most. My loyalty shall always be with Sabras. I’m quite emotional as I speak and am also Thankful to Raj Baddhan (Operations Manager) for his continuous support. And of course all our listeners for their love and support. Also thankful to Shri Keshri Nath Tripathi ji; Shri Tarun Kumar ji, Mr. Y. K. Sinha & all at High Commission India. Thank you all”
