Sabras Radio hails Vaisakhi event a success

Sabras Radio celebrated this year’s Vaisakhi with a free event at its studios on Sunday (17th April).

The Vaisakhi Extravaganza was headlined by Punjabi superstar, Lehmber Hussainpuri known for hits like “Sadi Gali” from ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Das Ja’ with DJ Sanj. British Asian singer, H Dhami also entertained the hundreds of listeners that flooded in to the event. Nav Sidhu, Premi Johal, Jin & Seetal, Jagtar Dulai, Kadam Verma also crooned to their popular hits during the live event, which was broadcast and webcast via SabrasRadio.com. Dance troupes included Dhamak Punjaban Di, Simmy Gidha Group and Leicester based Bhangra Blast dancers.

Raj Baddhan, Operations Manager at Sabras Radio said, “This was one of our most spectacular Vaisakhi events event with a strong line-up of artists and hoards of people that walked in to witness the event. The event was free to demonstrate the importance of staying close to the various Asian communities we have entertained over the past 20 years.”

The event was sponsored by B4U Films, who release the movie ‘Vaisakhi List’ on Friday, along with Harinis Restaurant, Leicester.

All artists were given an award for their performances and their relationship with Sabras Radio.
