Sabras Radio announces special show to cover coronavirus spike in Leicester

Popular award-winning Asian station, Sabras Radio has responded to the imminent local lockdown in Leicester after the city saw a spike in coronavirus cases.

Starting from Monday 29th June, Sabras Radio will broadcast a daily hour-long show, hosted by Meera Majithia. The show will provide listeners with news, information and advice on the latest updates shared by the government.

As well as news, the special show will also include interactions with Leicester City Council representatives, business leaders and the station’s resident medical expert, Dr Rajiv Wadhwa.

Raj Baddhan, Director of Sabras Radio said, “It’s our duty being in the heart of the Asian community that our radio provides listeners with the news and advice on the current coronavirus state in the city. We’ll be bringing the latest information from the council, business leaders and our Dr Rajiv Wadhwa.”

The radio will also be airing extra news updates hourly on the lockdown measures.
