SAB TV UK ready for ‘Dilwale Day’ on Sunday

Sony Pictures Networks’ SAB TV channel is readying itself for a ratings bonanza this Sunday (20th March) with a string of specials to mark the free television premiere of blockbuster movie ‘Dilwale’.

As revealed exclusively first on BizAsiaLive.com last month, the broadcaster has taken the decision to premiere the Rohit Shetty family drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, on its free-to-air light-entertainment channel, SAB TV. While the premiere of the movie has been scheduled for 20:00, the build up to the premiere will also include the following:

– ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ – A journey behind 20 years of the film’s celebrations

The channel is expected to use the lucrative window to promote its premium content such as ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, which launches next month on Sony Entertainment Television Asia and its two new fictions that have launched recently on the same channel. SAB TV is expected to garner record ratings for the premiere of ‘Dilwale’.
