SAB TV has announced the launch of its new weekeday comedy caper ‘Peterson Hill’, which kicks off next week.

The story is said to be inspired from a quaint little picturesque railway station in a small town set amidst the lush mountains of Shimla.

The story of Peterson Hill۪ revolves around the life of a station master and the simple people living in the town. Actor Ronit Roy will be playing the role of the station master whose screen name is Kishore Chadha۪. He is a simple man by nature and believes in doing good deeds in favour of humanism and mankind. Sucheta Khanna plays the role of his wife, who is very proud of her husband and his ideals. Along with them, there are several characters in the serial who play an important role in the new serial. So Peterson Hill۪, revolves around the colourful characters who live in and around the station as well as some travellers whose stories sometimes get entangled with those living in the town. The beauty of this place is that, people here live in harmony and they share their sorrows and joys with each other as one big family.

Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP & Business Head, SAB TV, said, The concept of Peterson Hill۪ is fresh and first of its kind on Indian television. The story captures the beauty and romance of a railway station in the hills and it accentuates our philosophy of Asli Mazaa SAB ke saath۪. The reason why we decided to take off FIR is because we have done more than 1,300 episodes and the ratings have also reached a stage of stagnancy. It is one of our evergreen properties and we plan to get it back if we sense any demand from the audience. We also plan to strengthen our weekday and weekend programming, but nothing as of now till the IPL.۝

‘Peterson Hill’ will replace ‘FIR’ after nine years. Telecast of the show is yet to be confirmed in the UK, however, in India, ‘Peterson Hill’ will air Monday to Friday at 22:30.
