SAB TV to begin re-run of old Sony TV shows

Multi Screen Media’s light entertainment channel, Sony SAB TV will begin broadcasting old Sony Entertainment Television Asia shows in an effort to boost the channel’s ratings in the UK.

Sony SAB TV, which has delivered the best ever ratings recently on the back of its classic movies and alternative programming, will tweak its output this week by adding hit classic content from its flagship sister station.

Starting from Monday 4th March, Sony SAB TV will launch talent show ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ at 16:00, ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’ at 17:30 and the Yash Raj Films produced drama ‘Mahi Way’ at 18:30 – all shows will broadcast in 60-minute formats weeknights.

Sony SAB TV’s current weekly reach stands at 457,000 – up 12,000 last week. The channel recently acquired award-winning show ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ from the BBC, which is expected to be a ratings hit when it starts in mid-March.
