SAB TV to air tribute special to Taarak Mehta

Sony SAB TV has confirmed that it will pay tribute to writer, Taarak Mehta, who passed away today.

The channel will air a special episode of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, on which Mehta’s column was based on.

Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal on the show, confirmed the news to DNA India “Of course we will do a special episode in memory of him. That is what we all are planning. The entire team and producers are now discussing how we can do it. It is extremely sad that he passed away.”

The show’s writer Shailesh Lodha said, “I still remember when show the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was started, he used to come on the sets. We have lost a great writer. We have met many times and I always found his humour unbelievable.”
