Rumour: ZEE UK planning Wembley show for April?

ZEE Network UK is rumoured to be planning an event to be held at London’s Wembley Arena in April, along the lines of Star Parivaar Live.

Industry sources have said that the ZEE UK sales team is out in full force obtaining sponsorship for the event, which is likely to take place on Sunday 13th April. The unnamed event is expected to feature singers and dancers from its popular talent show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and ‘Dance India Dance’, plus a headline performance by renowned Bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan.

ZEE Network declined to comment when BizAsia contacted the broadcaster.

Spring is turning out to be quite congested for events in the UK with popular Punjabi artist Satinder Sartaj flying over for his event, Pankaj Udhas touring various cities, plus in May, Shreya Ghoshal will return for a series of concerts, as well as the Star Parivaar Live show and the Alchemy Festival being held in London.
