Rumour: Channel S to launch NTV in August

Numerous emails received by Biz Asia over the weekend have suggested that Bangla TV service Channel S will be bringing NTV to the UK permanently by August-end this year.

Viewers may remember NTV was previously available through Vectone Bangla. Since managerial changes at Vectone, NTV ceased operations in the UK. Now it looks like NTV will be returning with a helping hand by Channel S who will be providing UK distribution for the new service.

At this moment details remain sketchy as to how the channel will be sold and if it will be bundled with Channel S.

If rumours are to be believed then NTV could be back on our screens on the Sky Digital platform as soon as Tuesday 29th August.
