Round-up Review: ‘Ragini MMS 2’

'Ragini MMS 2'
'Ragini MMS 2' - round-up review

‘Ragini MMS 2’ was all set for a bumper opening what with a prequel that did well and an ex adult star as protagonist. Sunny Leone takes centrestage in this film which is, once again, hailed by Balaji Motion Pictures. However, have the reviews been good or bad. BizAsia take a look at what the critics have said.

Rahul Desai of Mumbai Mirror writes, “Oh, and Sunny Leone is actually Sunny Leone hereex adult film star, serious actress. In her director’s words, she wants to go from Porno to Rituporno.”

Filmfare‘s Rachit Gupta reviews, “The reason a lot of people will watch Ragini MMS 2 is thanks to the still growing popularity of the songs, Baby Doll and Chaar botal vodka. The total package the songs, Sunny Leone erotica and the in-your-face scares is good for an average horror flick. But there۪s absolutely no sense to story or treatment. This is what you call a certified Hollywood knock off.”

Tushar Joshi from DNA India concludes, “Whether you are a Sunny Leone fan or not,Ragini MMS 2still manages to raise a few scares and stay true to its genre.”

“Despite its harum-scarum script and barely-there logic (why would the senior crew members stay in a haunted house and the bit part-actors in a comfy hotel, for example), I quite enjoyed Ragini MMS 2۪ in the portions when Sunny Leone is in full stride,” said Shubhra Gupta, Indian Express.

Will ‘Ragini MMS 2’ be able to sustain its hold at the box office for the next week? Stay with BizAsia to find out.
