Rohit Shetty says Ranveer Singh is a “brilliant actor”

Super suave actor Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty are teaming up for the first time in a Hindi remake of the Telugu film, ‘Temper’ (2015). The Hindi remake will see Singh playing the role of a corrupt police officer.

Pinkvilla reports that in an interview with a leading daily, Shetty showered Singh with compliments, “I think Ranveer will be the biggest star among the younger generation of actors. He is a brilliant actor and is ready to go to any lengths to make his role work. My film with him is a remake of Temper, but we are adapting it. The film will go on the floors mid-next year.”

Shetty went onto say that, “He has still not tried the complete masala genre and this will be a different Ranveer for sure. He’s equally excited about the film.”

This movie will see Singh playing the role of a cop for the first time, none of his Hindi cinema contemporaries have played police officers till date, therefore making Singh the first actor to play a police officer in his generation of actors.

The film is set to go on floors in May 2018.
