Rohit Shetty quashes rumours of 'Chennai Express' sequel

Rohit Shetty is the director that many actors have on their wish list after the great success of his last offering ‘Chennai Express’ last year. However, although the director will be working with Shah Rukh Khan once again, he has gone on record to deny that the film with be a sequel to ‘Chennai Express’.

Shetty told PTI, “My next film with Shah Rukh is not called ‘Punjab Express’. It is not a sequel to ‘Chennai Express’. It is a completely different story. We will start next year”. He also denied that Katrina Kaif had been cast opposite Khan for the project.

Speaking about his collaboration with Karan Johar, Shetty revealed, “We are working on that also. And Salman Khan is not there in it. We are still writing it and all I can say is it is a big film”.

Shetty is currently busy with his upcoming film ‘Singham Returns’ which will star Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amole Gupte.
