She entered the Indian film industry with a bang, and has continued to wowed audiences ever since. Though she’s still fairly new, Alia Bhatt has made all the right choices, and she’s now in the position of knowing who she feels will influence her in continuing her success.
Having already played different types of roles, NDTVreported Bhatt stating how though she doesn’t want to play the typical damsel in distress type of character, she still interested in mainstream cinema, “I just don’t want to be a love interest in a film, I should have that equal effect. I don’t want to be just standing over there in one frame I can’t do that. That does not mean I don’t want to do commercial films.”
“I want to do all the commercial films. I want to work with Rohit Shetty. (Okay with) full comedy and action, but a good role,” she added. Bhatt will next be seen in the upcoming ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, which will see the actress sharing the screen with Varun Dhawan for the second time. Talking about the film she went onto say, “HSKD is an out and out love story. The last love story was “Jab We Met” (2007). There has been many romantic-comedies, but not a typical love story whereasHSDKis all an all love story and in a modern way fits in 2014 idea of love rather than what was 15 years ago.”
