Rohit Purohit joins cast of ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ on Star Plus
Rohit Purohit will soon be part of Star Plus’ ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’, which also stars Jasmin Bhasin.
Talking about his character, Purohit says, “I play the role of Ranvijay Shergill. A lawyer with a drive to do right for people. He was an orphan who grew up the hard way, a self-made man. He is successful and intelligent. He is a man of integrity. He has a girlfriend Anaya, played by Iris Maity. But he falls in love with Happy. Anaya is also a lawyer and they are partners in a law firm along with Anaya’s father. Happy finds strong support in Ranvijay, which she never had before.”
Talking about sharing the screen with Bhasin, Purohit says, “I saw her in Khatron Ke Khiladi a few days back. And I have seen her in others shows too. I think she is very good. I hope people like our pairing and work.”
Purohit, who was last seen in ‘Porus’ as Alexander, was on the lookout for something interesting when this show came along. “The show’s title is damn interesting. Sunkar hee dil khush ho jata hai. After Alexander, I was really finding it difficult to see which role I should pick. There were quite a few roles that were offered to me on TV/web/films. But then suddenly this one came and it was done in the first phone call itself,” he says.
Meanwhile, the actor recently got married as well. However, he says that this has not affected his work in anyway. “Many things change after marriage. Apart from all other common reasons, you become more focused and committed to your dreams,” he says.
