Where Bollywood is currently looking in the past for its inspiration, it seems the Indian TV Industry is looking at Bollywood for theirs. News has it TV star Rithvik Dhanjani, is all set to star in a TV series remake of the 2004 hit comedy flick ‘Masti’.
The film starred Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdisani. Bollywood Life reports that the TV series will also star popular TV personalities Karan V Grover and Sahil Anand alongside Dhanjani. Grover is known for his role on ‘Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli’ (2009 – 2012), whereas Anand has been a part of big films like ‘Student of the Year (2012) and ‘Babloo Happy Hai’ (2014).
The three leads will also have their heroines, where the likes of Amrita Rao, Tara Sharma and Genelia D’Souza will be played by TV actresses Sristy Rode, Asmita Sood and Sonia Balani.
Apparently where the film is much known for its adult humour, the TV series will not be so explicit so will be appropriate for a younger generation.
