Rithvik Dhanjani gets candid about his relationship with Asha Negi

Since the hit ZEE TV  show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ (2009), Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi have been their fans reel and real couple everything.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Dhanjani spoke bout his relationship with his long-term beau and their personal and professional journey together.

As it’s been nine years since the couple worked together, Dhanjani was asked if he would share screen space again with Negi. He said, “Why not? I will be more than happy to work with Asha again,” said the TV anchor, who added that despite offers coming in, they haven’t found the right script yet. “We have been offered so much work together but what happens is we both have our own sets of expectations and we don’t cross over each other’s path when it comes to the workspace. We are there for each other to guide but we don’t make decisions for each other anymore. We respect our individual choices. So, we haven’t got anything which we both would love to it. But if it comes our way, why not?”

Asked if there were wedding bells on the horizon, Dhanjani said, “Of course, that is going to happen when it happens, but we are too young right now,” continuing to add, I am only 28. We started dating very early and sometimes we don’t even realize it is been that long.”

Describing his relationship with Negi, Dhanjani says he feels “lucky”, “I feel I am very lucky because very few people get what I have received in life. Asha has not only reciprocated the love we get from my family, her family and me but we have grown together by leaps and bounds, we have fallen over and over again, made mistakes, learned from it, we have picked each other, and have said, ‘let’s bloody keep going’.”

Dhanjani shares how Negi is the rock in their relationship. “I am a lethargy person, I can never multi-task.. I think Asha has understood this well and has stood by me throughout in the relationship. Everybody has their white, black and greys, I have my own. I think not just acknowledge the greys in your life but to take an effort to change those greys is what Asha has done.”

Dhanjani will be seen in a new show with Yupp TV – ‘Galti Se Mis-Tech’ starring opposite Anita Hassanandani Reddy.
