Ritesh Sidhwani confirms third instalment in ‘Fukrey’ franchise

Good news for ‘Fukrey’ (2013) fans, producer Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed there is to be a third instalment in the franchise.

Known for some of the most iconic films to date, such as ‘Don’ (2006), ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ (2011) and more recently ‘Gully Boy’ (2019), it was reported by Times Now News that Sidhwani is working on the script for ‘Fukrey 3’. “There has been so much love for the franchise especially for the characters of Chucha and Hunny, so we need to approach it with a lot of responsibility. He will present us a draft for the film very soon and then we need to go ahead.”

Sidhwani also reveals that Farhan Akhtar is also on board as co-producer, “Even when Farhan is directing, he keeps an open mind in the discussion. This applies to everyone here including Zoya and Reema. It’s a collaborative effort.”

The original cast for both the first starred Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh all in lead roles.
