Riteish Deshmukh to star in ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ trilogy

Riteish Deshmukh is producing and starring in the upcoming multilingual trilogy ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’, directed by Nagraj Manjule of ‘Sairat’ (2016) fame.

Deshmukh took to social media to announce the film on the warrior king’s birthday with a teaser promo captioned “Proud to present. Seeking your blessings, Jay Shivray.”

Manjule also shared the teaser, revealing that composer duo Ajay-Atul will be a part of the team, “Standing at the threshold of a dream, this might be the case… Today, on the occasion of Shivaji’s birthday, it is a pleasure to say that Shivratri is coming along with Ritesh Deshmukh and Ajay-Atul.”

The film is slated to release in 2021.
