Riteish Deshmukh dedicates first National Award to late father

Riteish Deshmukh, for his second home production, ‘Yellow’ (2014), has won a National Award and has dedicated it to his late father Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Deshmukh’s ‘Yellow’ won the Special Jury and Special Mention awards at the 61st National Film Award and was presented with the awards in a ceremony on 3rd May. He said on Twitter, “My first National Award. This one is for my father. He would have been proud and said with a smile, ‘Well done beta'”.

The actor will be seen next in ‘Ek Villain’ in what will be a villainous role.
