Rishtey UK signs content deal with Epic Channel

Rishtey continues to partner-up with third-party channels in India to spruce up content on its popular UK service.

BizAsia can exclusively confirm that Rishtey has signed a deal to broadcast shows from the recently launched, Epic Channel in India. The first offering from Epic Channel on Rishtey UK will be ‘Dariba Diaries’. The costume drama set in 19th century, Delhi, takes place when technology and science are still in their infancy and modern tools of investigation haven�۪t yet been invented. While ostensibly Bahadur Shah Zafar II reigns, the British might and influence increases each day, and with it, a spate of crimes.

‘Dariba Diaries’ launches on Saturday 8th August at 21:00 (weekends). This is the first time UK viewers will sample shows from Epic Channel, which launched in India last year.

Recently, Rishtey started broadcasting fiction ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ from the now defunct, Imagine Dil Se.
