The UK’s second most watched Asian entertainment channel, Rishtey has suddenly gone off-air from the Freeview platform this evening.
The channel, which was the first Asian channel to launch nationally on the free to access digital TV platform. It went live in August this year after being available previously on satellite and cable.
Disgruntled viewers have inundated BizAsia with messages inquiring about the channel’s future on the platform. The issue is expected to be down to a technical glitch.
BizAsia was awaiting a response from IndiaCast on the reason behind Rishtey’s abrupt departure.
Previously, SAB TV and Lamhe have been available on Freeview but only in the Manchester area. Prime TV is also available on Freeview.
