Rishi Kapoor shoots in famous palace for Anubhav Sinha

Director Anubhav Sinha is currently shooting for his next ‘Mulk’ in Malihabad with actors Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu. Kapoor recently finished shooting a scene in a palace, where Shashi Kapoor’s ‘Junoon’ (1978), Rekha’s ‘Umrao Jaan’ (1981), and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar’ (2001) was shot. Sinha was actually not aware of the fact, as he only chose the palace because he liked it.

Pune Mirror reports Sinha saying, “I had no idea. I had simply liked the place when I was on a recce there. It was the locals who recently told me about these iconic films being shot there. I must have been 12-13 when Shyam Babu was shooting Junoon there with Naseer bhai. This place houses the history of cinema.”

Sinha’s last direction ‘Tum Bin 2’ did averagely at the box office.
