Rishi Kapoor to play a cop in Spanish remake

Rishi Kapoor’s will play the role of a police officer investigating a mystery in the Bollywood remake of Oriol Paulo’s acclaimed Spanish thriller ‘El Cuerpo’.

‘El Cuerpo’ follows the investigation surrounding a missing corpse by the police officer played by Kapoor in the remake. The film will be directed by Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph and will star Emraan Hashmi with Kapoor for the first time, Filmfare reported. This is not the film’s first remake in India, as it has unofficial versions in Malayalam (‘Vettah’ (2016)), Tamil, Kannada and Telugu (‘Oru Melliya Kodu’/’Game’/’Notuku Potu’ (2016)).

Shooting is expected to begin in May and will continue for 45 days.
