Rishi Kapoor on his illness: “Hopefully, I will recover soon & God willing I will return”

Rishi Kapoor who has been receiving treatment for an illness in America, has finally opened up about his health. For some time a lot of speculation has been around whether the veteran actor is battling cancer.

Reported on DNA India, Kapoor sounded optimistic and hopes to return back to India once the treatment is complete. “My treatment is on, hopefully, I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue.”

Kapoor further added that this time has allowed him to focus on himself. “Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me.”

Though it has never been officially confirmed if Kapoor has cancer, The ‘Mulk’ (2018) actor’s brother Randhir Kapoor has always denied rumours on this, but when wife Neetu Kapoor wrote a cryptic caption in her new year Instagram post which said, “Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign”, this sparked more interest. Kapoor has had his family by his side throughout his treatment which started back in September 2018.
