Rishi Kapoor has been reminiscing of the times when he started his acting career and he believes that Amitabh Bachchan was leading the way in the ’70s and ’80s.

According to Times of India, Kapoor feels that Bachchan defined action in that era and other actors such as himself followed his footsteps.

Kapoor commented, “Amitabh Bachchan is the greatest actor that we have in the country. He changed the whole trend of early 70s. Action era started with him. There were a lot of actors who became jobless then.”

Working with Bachchan in many films such as ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ (1976) and ‘Naseeb’ (1981), Kapoor expressed that Big B should have given himself more credit.  Kapoor continued to say, “There would be no ‘Sholay’ without Dharmendra, no ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ without Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor, no ‘Deewar’ without Shashi Kapoor and no ‘Dostana’ without Shatrughan Sinha.”
