Rishi Bhutani to star alongside Hina Khan in ‘Lines’

Hina Khan is quite excited about her Bollywood debut. The star will play the lead in a women-centric flick titled ‘Lines.’

Khan has started shooting for the movie which is set in the ’90s Kashmir, reports Bollywood Life. While veteran actress Farida Jalal is playing her grandmother, the audience is still not aware as to who is the male lead opposite Hina. Although a source reveals that the makers have finalised actor Rishi Bhutani to play the male protagonist. The star made his debut in 2009 with the psychological thriller, ‘Bolo Raam,’ and was last seen in 2017’s ‘Ramratan,’ wherein he romanced Daisy Shah.

Now Bhutani is all set to romance Hina. “He will play one of her cousins, who will eventually marry her,” the source reveals. When we contacted Bhutani, who has already started shooting for the project, he confirmed the news, saying, “It’s good to be a part of the film, as it is an interesting character. I’m playing a Pakistani guy.” When asked about her co-star Hina, who was the runner-up in the last season of ‘Bigg Boss,’ Bhutani added, “She’s lovely as a person. I can say she doesn’t come with any baggage of stardom.” Bhutani has been part of the industry for a long time.

‘Lines’ will also see actors like Zahid Qureshi and Tariq Khan in prominent roles. In fact, Tariq is also producing the movie along with Rahat Kazmi. The movie, directed by Hussein Khan, is set against the backdrop of the Kargil war.

While talking about the movie earlier, Hina had said, “It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it’s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium.”
