Rihanna’s Twitter post about India’s farmers’ protests goes viral

Global star Rihanna has been making the news as she posted on Twitter about the ongoing farmers’ protests in India.

Posting a link from CNN website, Rihanna questioned “Why aren’t we talking about this?”

Bollywood stars have been accused of not being vocal enough about the issue for weeks and to see a celebrity like Rihanna posting about it has received many views on Twitter and social media.

The latest of the issue has been that Twitter has been blocking tweets referring to the protest which has been ongoing for a few months now. There have also been mobile data services interfered with where the protests are going on.

The farmers are protesting against three acts passed by the Indian government in September 2020.
