Rift between Kartik Aaryan & Luv Ranjan?

What was once the dynamic duo, are now said to be poles apart. Kartik Aaryan who kicked started his acting career with Luv Ranjan who made his first film with the former, have reportedly fallen out.

According to DNA India, here-say suggest that the rift between the actor and filmmaker is due to Aaryan feeling restricted by Ranjan, a source in the industry shares, “Kartik, apparently, was feeling too restricted at having to seek Luv’s go-ahead for every project he wanted to take on, not just when it came to movies but even brand endorsements. Initially, he felt that Luv was being concerned and cautious as a mentor and he didn’t want his protégé to suddenly lose the equity they had built for him over the years. However, over a period of time, the actor reportedly began to feel that certain things would have turned out better if he had followed his instincts and not Luv’s point of view.”

Others have argued that it was never a case of Ranjan mentoring Aaryan, as both commenced their careers simultaneously. However the source further adds, “Kartik now reportedly routes everything through the agency handling his work, specifically his manager. ”

Aaryan who found fame with Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ (2011), followed by a sequel in 2015 and then more recently the box office hit, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018), is currently working on Dinesh Vijan’s ‘Lukka Chuppi’ in Gwalior. Ranjan on the other hand has two upcoming projects, one is starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh and the other again with Devgn but also Ranbir Kapoor, which is due to release Christmas 2020.
