As an actor, Richa Chadha has always enjoyed essaying a variety of roles. Chadha is not afraid to shed her inhibitions and go that extra length for her work. However, the actress believes that whole women are labelled bolder today because society is evolving, the number of women actually taking risks is relatively low.

In an interview with Maxim, Chadha said, “Times are definitely changing because change is continuous in society. Every few years, small changes take place, which get noticed. But I feel women who are shedding their inhibitions or taking risks are in a minority. The minority basically comprises well-established women. For example, in the film industry, female actors take risks once they reach a certain point in their career. They don’t necessarily start off like that. I can’t think of any other actor who played the role of a 60-year-old when they were 23 in their first or second film. That kind of fear is always there. Most people take the safe route initially and after reaching a point they take risks.”

The versatile actress was most recently seen in this week’s Bollywood release, ‘Sarbjit’. She will next be seen in a completely different and bold avatar in Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Cabaret’.
