Richa Chadha is amongst many other actors to be a part of supporting causes on the development of girl child and women empowerment.
Reports from Bollywood Hungama suggest that Chadha has extended her support to an NGO call ‘Purnata’. They rehabilitate young girls from human trafficking and provide them with a livelihood through technically training in centres across Mumbai.
Chadha will be raising money for them with the help of her network. A source says, When she met the girls there for the first time she got inspired by them, with their willpower and desire to reach a certain position in life. Richa will be spending her time extensively to work closely with the women from these NGOs who have braved difficult situations and are trying to give life a new lease.
Chadda confirmed by adding, I think a time comes in every actor’s life where they want to use their influence in the best possible way to contribute positively. I am glad I got the chance to help in this case. Human trafficking is a massive problem internationally, but every small step counts.
Chadha’s film ‘Sarbjit’ will be releasing on 20th May.
