As women are becoming more independent and being seen on the forefront of society more than ever, there are still some issues that society haven’t got over, including how women are still seen a certain way. In the attempt to break these cliche’s Richa Chadha has spoken out in saying how women shouldn’t be put in categories.

Whilst talking about a masterclass she recently attended during the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne,Hindustan Times reported the actress expressing, “I don۪t want women in Bollywood to be thought of as a different category. For that, society needs to change its perception of women. Bollywood is one part of society. I enjoyed the masterclass because I like talking to people. Some issues are the same no matter where you live in the world. It was great that I got an opportunity to interact with people on such a platform.”

Chadha has been an attendee of many film festival around the world, where she has become a lot more involved in some of them. “They definitely provide exposure. I was invited to be on the jury at Morocco۪s Marrakech International Film Festival. It is unusual for someone in my age group or with my kind of experience. So, I think it was only because I attended Cannes last year.”

As well as acting, Chadha also lent her hand in producing for a short film. “I produced it for a friend who needed help. The subject was good and I helped out. I think what Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma are doing while managing their respective acting careers is harder.”

Looks like this actress has more talent up her sleeve than we expected.
