Richa Chadha has been wowing with the first looks and first song from the forthcoming film, ‘Cabaret’, which is produced by Pooja Bhatt. The actress has been on quite a journey since her debut but with this character she says it is bravery and not boldness that is what she’s about.
“My character is brave, not bold. She’s a survivor and a fighter. Pooja’s pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me look into a mirror that reflects a face with plenty of make-up,” said Chadha to Mumbai Mirror.
Talking about chopping and changing between her two films ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Sarbjit’, Chadha recalled, “While combing out the curls and taking off the fake eyelashes, I started mumbling in Punjabi. My driver thought I was going crazy. By the time we reached the location, I had transformed into a seedhi-saadhi Punjabi woman with my accent in place”.
‘Cabaret’ is slated for release on 9th June and is directed byKaustav Narayan Niyogi.
