Ribhu Dasgupta’s next inspired by real-life story

Ribhu Dasgupta has finally found inspiration for his next project. Following ‘TE3N’ (2015), the director struggled to find a story that he could connect with.

Reported in Bollywood Hungama, Dasgupta will be making a film based on the life of 44 year old Zainab Fawad, who was subjected to physical and mental abuse during her marriage to her ex husband. Fawad’s children had been sent away to Karachi, Pakistan by her ex and had endured a long battle to get them back as well as escaping her toxic marriage.

The film is currently at script writing stage and the team have already gone out to Dubai to familiarise themselves with the area, as they will be shooting in real locations. Despite the film still untitled, Dasgupta has backing from Rajat Srivastava and Sam Fernandes for the film.
