Rhea Chakraborty will be taking legal action against her neighbours for making false statements about her to the media.
According to reports, the incorrect statements made by Dimple Thawani had misled the investigation. A letter has been sent to Nupur Sharma, who heads the special team at Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Thawani had claimed Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped Chakraborty at her home, the day before his death.
The letter read, “Dimple Thawani made false and bogus allegations against me knowing them to be false and misled the investigation. The allegation was that Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my house in his car on June 13, which is false.”
“I say that such a conduct makes out a prima facie case punishable under sections 203 (giving false information about an alleged offence) and 211 (false charge of offence) of the Indian Penal Code which is punishable with seven years imprisonment,” the letter said.
