RFAK song to be retained without him in music video

With the ongoing stand-off between India and Pakistan on the political scene, the ban against Pakistan stars in Indian films remains.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that a song recorded by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan called ‘Zindagi Ae Zindagi’ for Ranveena Tandon’s upcoming film ‘Maatr – The Mother’, will not feature the singer on-screen. The video will now feature only Tandon.

Confirming the news to Mumbai Mirror, filmmaker Anjum Rizvi said, “We have decided to retain the song as it was recorded before the Indo-Pak tension began. It’s an emotional track mapping Raveena’s journey as a mother. We are still planning how the video will be shot but yes it will feature Raveena. Rahat obviously won’t be part of the video, keeping the current situation in mind. I have left the rest to our director Ashtar Sayed and marketing team.”
