Revealed: Why Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected last six films

There have been rumours that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been rejecting film offers so she can concentrate on endorsement deals and with some even speculating that she could be going the family way with husband Saif Ali Khan.

In the past five months, Kareena has snubbed six films including ‘Queen’, ‘Ram-Leela’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘Shuddhi’, Bejoy Nambiar�۪s next, Sujoy Ghosh�۪s film and many others as well, leaving many wondering what the reason behind it is.

Talking to a leading tabloid, Kareena said, ���In the last five months, I think I have said no to six movies because I don�۪t want to do anything that�۪s not great. If I don�۪t want to [be a part of a film], I am happy not to do it��_ [I�۪d rather] chill at home and read a book, or do something else. And that�۪s a policy that I will stick to. Let people say, do or write what they want to. Like Saif (Ali Khan; husband) says, ��Put your head down and don�۪t do what you don�۪t like.�۪ And after 15 years [in the industry], I am sure I have the right to do that.�۝

Talking about why she didn�۪t star in Zoya Akhtar�۪s film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, Khan said, ���It�۪s my loss because I love Zoya, but couldn�۪t be part of her film. I am dying to work with her. Inshallah, this isn�۪t the last film she is going to make, and it�۪s not the last film that I�۪m not able to do. Aage bhi bahut padi hai zindagi (there�۪s life ahead). Whenever she has a role for me, I�۪ll definitely do it.�۝

Khan is currently promoting ‘Singham Returns’ after, which she has only one more confirmed release alongside Salman Khan.
