Revealed: Why Faisal Khan is not showing his new film to brother Aamir Khan

Faisal Khan is making his return to films with his new project ‘Chinar: Daastaan-E-Ishq’ this weekend but he is reluctant to show the film to his ‘perfectionist’ brother, Aamir Khan.

Talking to Mid-Day, Faisal said, “I haven’t shown my film to Aamir. He is busy shooting for his next (Dangal) in Ludhiana, which is why he hasn’t said or written anything about my film. Besides, he is a perfectionist and I am not sure if he would like the film. In fact, even I feel that certain portions of the film could have turned out better. I don’t want to show the film to him; I know what his reaction will be.”

Faisal, who makes his comeback in films after ten years, did admit he shares a good rapport with Aamir. However, talking further about the film, he said, “All I can say is that my team and I have given our best to make a good film. But since I have worked in films and theatre earlier, I understand that a few things are not up to the mark. The film is made on a shoestring budget and it won’t be fair to keep expecting the producers to shell out money till we are satisfied with the final product.”
