Revealed: SRK’s request to Farah Khan for one-take ‘Dilwale’ love song

Dilwale - SRK and Kajol

When you have one of the most loved jodis of the generation coming together, it’s definitely a big task choreographing a song which will be bigger than anything they’ve been seen in before. Well, that’s the request Shah Rukh Khan has put in to his friend Farah Khan about the romantic song he will have with Kajol in the forthcoming ‘Dilwale’. The song is, interestingly, going to be shot in one single take.

BizAsia reported earlier that the crew will be taking off to Iceland to shoot for said song. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “The song will be a one-take number across the black sand, white surf and incredible seascape. The unit is flying off to Iceland next week for a 12-day long schedule”.

Talking about Shah Rukh’s special instructions for Farah, the source revealed, “He told Farah that he wanted the sequence to be larger-than-life, bigger than her choreography in Sooraj hua madham. That song was shot against the backdrop of the Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. Due to lighting conditions, the crew shot only between 7 and 9am, every morning. The song took several days to film”.

It is thought there will be a lot of practice put in before the shoot to ensure everything is just write for the one shot that the song will be filmed in. “Looks like lighting will be a tough task once again. But I guess, SRK and Kajol will have the ice melting by the end of the schedule”, continued the source.

The film also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. It’s slated to release at Christmas.
