Revealed: Plot of SRK-Deepika starrer ‘Chennai Express’

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ is much-awaited because it will give audiences a different side of his talent and because it will see him direct Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. BizAsia can confirm that ‘Chennai Express’ will be a little hatke to what one would have been familiar with in previous Rohit Shetty films.

Reports suggest that ‘Chennai Express’ surrounds the story of Khan’s character’s father passing away. He makes his way��from Mumbai to Chennai on the train to scatter his late father’s ashes and, during his journey,��he encounters Deepika Padukone’s character. In keeping with the true Bollywood style, he falls for her. What follows is what happens after the duo leave the train and go back to their respective lives.

Shetty has taken to the romance genre for the first time and it remains to be seen whether his style works. No doubt it will be interesting to see Khan and Padukone share the screen again.
