Revealed: How ‘KBC’ broke the rules for Abhishek Bachchan

In Amitabh Bachchan hosted ��Kaun Banega Crorepati�۪ ��� currently in season 8 ��� many well known names have appeared to promote their films. However, BizAsia has learnt that the show made a special exception for Abhishek Bachchan to be able to feature in a ��Happy New Year�۪ promotional episode.

Makers of the show are believed to broken the rule that no relatives of the host are allowed to be a part of the show. Abhishek was a part of the show with the rest of the cast of ��Happy New Year�۪. A member of the crew spoke to Mid-Day and said, ���When the entire star cast was invited on the show, he obviously had to be present. Never in the past has any of Amitabh Bachchan�۪s relatives come on the show. Therefore, this time, the production house and the channel had a bit of a discussion and decided to include his son, Abhishek Bachchan in the special episode�۝.

A spokesperson for the channel, Sony Entertainment Television, is believed to have denied the news that rules were relaxed for the episode.
