Recently, it’s been evident that a loophole somewhere has created leaks of films which either haven’t officially released or soon after their release. As such, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has taken steps to ensure the same doesn’t happen for his film ‘Tum Bin 2’ which releases this week.
Sinha has sent a legal notice through his lawyer Rohini Vakil to Facebook and YouTube telling them to disallow any kind of leak that might be attempted. Sinha said, according to TOI, “Platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube exist in our country for all the content that is uploaded. For some specific high value content like feature films, we expect their infrastructure too to make sure it is not pirated”.
He added, “YouTube wasn’t initially envisaged to grow in to a platform this big and diverse and hence rested all the copyright responsibilities with the party uploading the content. But these platforms have become way bigger than the control of anyone but who created these platforms. They must also take onus of any such mischievous acts and at least show enough intent that they stand by producers in protecting their interests”.
‘Tum Bin 2’ stars Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati. It’s slated for release on 18th November.
